What are AIIB Annual Meetings?
- The Annual Meeting is the flagship event of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). It offers a unique occasion to showcase AIIB’s accomplishments and seek invaluable insights and guidance from shareholders on AIIB's strategic direction and initiatives. Moreover, it serves as a dynamic hub for dialogues among delegates from AIIB Members, alongside partners, business leaders, civil society organizations and experts from a range of fields from all around the world.
When and where is the 2023 AIIB Annual Meeting?
- This year's Annual Meeting will take place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on September 25-26, 2023. It marks AIIB's first in-person Annual Meeting since 2019, and the first one in Africa. The principal venue of the Annual Meeting will be the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Center (SHICC).
What is the Annual Meeting Public Program?
- The Public Program of the 2023 Annual Meeting is a series of public engagement sessions that focus on AIIB’s key business objectives and strategic priorities. They include AIIB Seminars and the Asian Infrastructure Business Forum (AIBF) Sessions. The Public Program is open to all Annual Meeting participants.

- All Annual Meeting participants are required to register online. Onsite registration will not be available.

- Registration applications are subject to accreditation by AIIB.

Do I need to pay to attend the Annual Meeting?
- Registration in the Annual Meeting is free. However, you will need to bear all costs related to your travel, accommodation, visa and others.
- AIIB has worked with the Host Government of Egypt and recommended a list of partner hotels in Sharm El Sheikh.

- AIIB has blocked off a limited number of hotel rooms in Sharm El Sheikh for the 2023 AIIB Annual Meeting. You can reserve a room here at your own expense.

Is the Annual Meeting badge mandatory to enter the Annual Meeting venue? Where do I get my Annual Meeting badge to enter the Sharm El Sheikh International Congress Center?
- Annual Meeting badges will be provided based on successful registration. All participants must display their badges throughout the Annual Meeting for security purposes and venue access.
- Please note that registration will be closed at 11:59 p.m., September 15, 2023 (GMT+3). Registration after the deadline will not be possible.
- Badge printing service will be available from September 23 to 26 at the Annual Meeting Registration Center next to the
SHICC (Gate 8).
- Participants may collect their Annual Meeting badge at the Registration Center by showing their passport or their Registration Confirmation email to the designated registration staff.
What is the Annual Meeting Mobile App?
- The Annual Meeting Mobile App (2023 AIIB AM) will be launched shortly before the Annual Meeting and will be downloadable from Google Play or the App Store.
- All participants are encouraged to download the app, which will contain up-to-date information about the program, speakers, and logistical information.
