AIIB has identified financing infrastructure for the sustainable development of cities in Asia as a key priority and has developed and will implement its Sustainable Cities Strategy in close coordination with its other sector and thematic strategies.
Public consultation on the draft Sustainable Cities Strategy: Financing Solutions for Cities in Asia to Achieve GREAT occurred from Monday, Aug. 27 to Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018.
Input from the written submissions received during the public consultation period informed the preparation of the final draft of the Sustainable Cities Strategy, which was submitted to AIIB’s Board of Directors for review.
